It seems clear from the footage that the professor was lying when you spoke to him earlier, and knows a great deal more about what is going on. You must confront him.
Closing Kat’s laptop and placing it back in its bag, you step over her boyfriend’s body and walk back out into the cool night air. The Professor’s office is not far from here.
You can’t help but wonder how this is all going to look in the morning. Did you just kill someone because a lamp told you to? Maybe this is how it started with Alex and Mary. Can you even be certain of your own sanity?
There’s movement to your left. You turn, ready for anything. A shocked student looks at you with eyes wide in terror, then flees at full sprint. It is then you notice the blood splattered all over your shirt, and the knife still clutched in your white-knuckled hand.
It’s probably not looking great for you right now. But if you can get through this alive, and find Kat before something bad happens to her, then maybe it will all work out OK.
Arriving back to the Professor’s office, you’re disheartened to see it empty. However, you notice a light is on downstairs, coming from the basement storage area. This would not normally seem unusual, but it inexplicably fills you with dread.
A raised voice echoes up from the stairwell, confirming your suspicion – you’re certain it’s Professor Haskins, although he sounds a lot less calm and collected than before….
